When to Take Measurements
It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment.

How to Take Length Measurements
Length measurements should be taken at each circumference. It is recommended that you mark the arm with a non-permanent, non-toxic marker at each circumference measurement made.

Measurement Points
1. Measure the ankle circumference at the narrowest part of the ankle above the ankle bone.

2. Measure the calf circumference at the fullest part of the calf.

3. Measure the thigh at the widest circumference.

4. Determine the thigh length (A-G) by measuring from the floor up to the gluteal fold.

Before I found sigvaris nylons, I was in another brand that was damaging my ankles because they did not stretch both ways. Sigvaris has literally saved me from a horrible fate. I am advanced stage two lymphedema and was told to give up and apply for disability. After finding sigvaris, I'm still active, not in a wheelchair and reduced my diagnosis to a managed stage two.
