When to Take Measurements
It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment.

How to Take Length Measurements
Length measurements should be taken at each circumference. It is recommended that you mark the arm with a non-permanent, non-toxic marker at each circumference measurement made.

Measurement Points
1. Measure the ankle circumference at the narrowest part of the ankle above the ankle bone.

2. Measure the calf circumference at the fullest part of the calf.

3. Determine the calf length by measuring from the floor up to the bend of the knee. This measurement is taken on the outside of the calf.

These are easier to put on than other brands. The color is nicer also. Been using for years, only one instance of needing to return.

I have used Mediven thigh high exclusively until now, I thought I would take a chance and try Sigvaris. I am very happy to learn they fit well and are even more comfortable. They appear to be not as heavy as the Mediven, so I will be interested in learning if they are as long lasting. They are less expensive.

I have worn compression hose for approx 20 years. I also work as a nurse in a vascular clinic. These are hands down my favorite compression hose. They are easy to get off and on. They also don't bind at knee and ankles. They fit most thighs and lengths of people, and most importantly they stay up! Just make sure to get them to the top of your thigh. I throw mine into the wash and dryer with the rest of my clothes(I'm not sure what the manufacturer recommends), but beware of velcro :)

This is my second time to order these. These might be my favorite. They never dig in the knee. I've been trying all brands and types to find best comfort. Only bummer is line dry vs. machine dry.
