When to Take Measurements
It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment.

How to Take Length Measurements
Length measurements should be taken at each circumference. It is recommended that you mark the arm with a non-permanent, non-toxic marker at each circumference measurement made.

Measurement Points
1. Measure the ankle circumference at the narrowest part of the ankle above the ankle bone.

2. Measure the calf circumference at the fullest part of the calf.

3. Determine the calf length by measuring from the floor up to the bend of the knee. This measurement is taken on the outside of the calf.

Sigvaris 780 Sheer knee-high stocking are quality hosiery for my leg emphedema in the 20-30 mmHg. Having purchased this former Eversheer name previously, I knew the quality would be there. I also have to order the short length as I am under 5 ft tall. I still order the 15-20 mmHg as sometimes my left leg swells more than my right.
