When to Take Measurements
It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment.

How to Take Length Measurements
Length measurements should be taken at each circumference. It is recommended that you mark the leg with a non-permanent, non-toxic marker at each circumference measurement made. The length measurement is then taken even with the floor, along the inside of the leg, up to each circumference point.

I had looked for years for support knee-highs that didn't dig in at the top but never found any really satisfactory. These include a material (silicone?) that absolutely keeps the top from rolling even now over three months of wear. I also like that the company notifies you when a certain amount of time and wear may have lessened the support that the stockings are providing. I don't necessarily agree with them--mine still feel very firm--but it's good to keep in mind. All in all my experience with Lymphedema Products has been extremely satisfactory.
