Physiologists have discovered the answer in the skin. Giraffe skin is inelastic; it does not stretch. Thus, giraffes are not susceptible to problems like lymphedema and venous disease, even though they may be on their feet 24 hours a day. CircAid has incorporated this concept into its products, creating solutions that help patients heal while allowing them to maintain an independent lifestyle.
